Cole Overstreet was killed after his Homecoming game, his senior year of high school, by a hit and run, the driver was assumed to be intoxicated. The driver who hit him evaded an arrest by running away from the scene of the crime. Because he had 5 prior alcohol related events, it is believed he knew that he had to run away until his blood alcohol count was normal to avoid prosecution.
